My Mom told me this week while we were on the phone that it is supposed to rain though. So that makes me feel a little bit better!

To catch you up on things (if you're reading this, do leave me a comment so I know who's reading this besides close family/friends!) after my Portland trip, my Mom and little brother, Jack, came in town last weekend. They drove in Friday from Kentucky and we had a great time even though it absolutely poured in Atlanta all day Saturday. Saturday was really dreadful and just raining cats and dogs! On Friday night though, we ended up going to my favorite Mexican restaurant, El Azteca, and my Mom could not stop laughing at the Mexicans who walk around singing all kinds of songs. It really was quite funny to hear some of the songs (i.e. "Old Rocky Top") via Mexican version and my mother could just not get over what they were singing!

Friday night before heading out to get some Mexican food...Lacy loved sitting right next to Mom and Jack. She was in heaven! We took Lacy for a long walk in my neighborhood before we headed to dinner, so this is why we're all in shorts and t-shirts.

Jack loved Lacy and tried to convince Mom to bring her home, but with one golden retriever and a beagle, Mom knew this wouldn't work. Indy our family beagle is very territorial and would have a cow if Lacy walked in the door!
Saturday we drove up to the outlets which are about an hour north of Atlanta to do some shopping. This was also Lacy's first time to stay with me at my house and we brought Lacy along as well. We shopped and shopped while little Lacy snoozed in the car! She was out like a light. That evening, we went to Maggiano's which is a great Italian restaurant here in Atlanta and it was divine! Jeff and I ate great the following night. It was prom night and packed to say the least, but we got to see lots of pretty dresses and remind me yet again of how old I'm getting. All in all, it was a nice weekend and on Sunday morning when they headed back to Kentucky, Lacy and I ran up the street to Lowes to get flowers, potting soil and some pots for my patio. The flowers are really blooming and I just love flowers as do Lily and Daisy, whom were named for my favorite flowers! They fit their namesake quite well.

The beginning process of planting flowers...Daisy is monitoring the progress!
