DC + Jack

Hey sweet friends! Is anyone still out there besides my Dad who reads this every morning when he gets to his firm and tells me I need to update more... Love you, Dad!

I took a little blogging break because I've really been trying to disconnect from social media so much. My dear friend, Heather who just recently moved to New York City got me on Instagram and I realized I was hooked and spending way too much time checking my phone.

Tomorrow morning I'm flying up to Washington, DC to visit my little brother, Jack who is interning for Kentucky's state senator, Mitch McConnell. Jack accepted Christ this past summer and the little guy is just on the right path and I'm SO proud. He's a sophomore in college at the University of Kentcky this year and has held a 4.0 throughout. While I was in college and we were throwing down at Two Keys or at the Tri-Delt house, Jack is studying for the LSAT, interning at the capitol and living out God's calling on his life and his dream. And he's always looking snazzy! I can't wait to see him and catch up and hopefully I'll be back soon!

 

 

 

 

 

 

September Season

September is here and it still is blazing hot! We had a busy weekend this past weekend cleaning, running and I pulled out all my Halloween decor. It's hardly October but Halloween comes and goes so quickly that I thought I'd decorate a little early this year. I am loving all the Halloween wreaths out at Pier One and Lowe's (crazy they have these right?!)

Charlee got a much needed bath on Saturday morning after he rolled in dirt at the dog park with his brand new collar from the Keys on. Somehow it seems he knew he wasn't supposed to get dirty.

We tried a little photo shot with Charlee Saturday evening and this is always how it ends up. He will never look at the camera unless you take a picture directly of him. He's somewhat of a narcissist.

And I will be making some Monster Munch this season for Halloween. I always make my vet's office either cat Halloween themed cupcakes or something and I'm thinking this will be the perfect treat for their office! I just love her blog and all her sweet recipes.
