I headed home last Thursday morning to Kentucky for a nice relaxing weekend with my Mom and it was so nice. It's about a seven hour drive home to Bardstown and I took both Charlee and Dixie with me. Jeff opted to keep Dixie, but I thought she'd enjoy going home and seeing everyone, and she did! I let Charlee outside on Wednesday morning to run in the backyard with Lacy just to make sure that he was absolutely pooped by the time we hit the road. He did great and we only had to stop twice- once in Chattanooga and again in Nashville. It's always nice to go home and the dogs played and played outside. We had lots of great food and when I got into Bardstown on Wednesday afternoon, my Mom had a banana pudding in the fridge. It was SO good!
My grandparents recently adopted a golden retriever puppy, Hoss, as well so he and Charlee had a big time. My grandparents were in Atlanta visiting my aunt, so my Mom kept Charlee for the week. Both Charlee and Hoss had a great time together.

Playing as soon as we got in on Wednesday afternoon.

Baby Hoss, he was so cute and a handful! I couldn't get over the size of his paws, they were absolutely huge. He is going to be a tall golden!
I also got my hair highlighted and cut when I was at home because it was starting to turn yellow. It was such a nice visit and my Mom and I shopped, ran errands, went out to eat and just really relaxed. Maggie is home from college this summer and Jack was busy with football and getting ready to go back to school. He is going to be a junior in high school this year and that's so hard to believe. Makes me feel so old!

Maggie and Charlee.....

Friday afternoon I took the dogs over to my grandparents farm since the house was so quiet. My Mom was at the hospital working, Maggie was at work and Jack was at football practice, so we opted to head over to the farm. I thought Charlee would love it and being able to swim in their pool. They had a great time but then they decided it would be fun to run around in the fields with the cows. Fantastic.

Trying to get the dogs back underneath the fence, was awful and finally I gave up trying, so by the time we got home that afternoon they all had to have a bath.

Charlee and Dixie running around in the fields....

Charlee and I after we all got home from the best Mexican restaurant. I love Mexican and I think I could eat it everday.

Little D......

Charlee was so good at home and only had one accident in the house. I don't think he wanted to leave yesterday afternoon, bless his heart! Dixie really enjoyed the cooler weather in Kentucky and laid outside most of the time just watching Charlee and Hoss.

And he found a teddy bear, that he decided to drag around....

Maggie and Charlee. He loved both Maggie and Jack, such a social little guy!

Jeff and Charlee. Sweet!
