Construction Everywhere

Well we had a great weekend this past weekend. Jeff had to work late on Friday since a huge project he's finishing up has come to a close and we ate at the best Mexican restaurant ever here in Atlanta. It was so delicious, I just love that place!

It was such a pretty weekend and I meant to take pictures of the Taco Ring I fixed Saturday night for dinner, but I just forgot and remembered only after it was gone, but it was fabulous. Sorry Mom!

Things have been busy lately and my car has been a mess lately. I blew out a tire on I-285 last week and thank you to Mercedes Benz, I didn't have to wait to very long to get it changed. And Jeff was a gem as always, taking me to the place and getting the tires that I owe him since I'm ever so broke. Thank you love!! Then to make matters worse, we had to go down to the Westin yesterday for work to finish some things up and on the way home last night I noticed a huge crack down the left side of my window. Lovely. Just. Lovely. I can't wait to call my insurance to see how much it will be to replace my entire front window.

And to add to the list of things to complain about, there is construction everywhere in our apartment complex right now. They started on the pool back at the end of May and it was out of commission for a couple weeks. Then they began renovating the roof and now they are working on the siding of the building. It is driving me crazy because there are Mexicans everywhere and I had to remove all my porch furniture. Plus, I've had to take down all my wall furnishings since the pounding could be detrimental.

There are nails and sidings everywhere so Dixie is staying with Jeff this week because I don't think she could get up and down the stairs with all this mess going on. Thank you again love! I wanted to post some pictures of Lily & Daisy though, as they are having a blast enjoying my white wicker patio furniture in the house. Hopefully it will all be complete ASAP!

Lily relaxing on my bed watching Daisy play beneath her. I have the hardest time taking pictures of Lily sometimes because she will run from the flash.

I had to take my oil down and put it in my closet so it wouldn't fall. I was just so excited to do that. You would think they could come down on our rent, but no of course not! :)

Red Top Mountain & the Pups

This past Saturday Jeff and I took the dogs up to Red Top Mountain, which is about 30 minutes north of Atlanta. Dixie and I had never been there before, but we loved it. We hiked one of the trails (imagine Dixie hiking, but she loved it) which eventually took us to a trail adjacent to the lake.

I was able to keep Dixie off leash and eventually we made our way down to the lake. Dryfus and Lady immediately jumped in and began swimming, but not Dixie. She slowly made her way in and Jeff even tried to push her in to swim, but she wasn't having any part of that! I think she often forgets that she's a dog...Dryfus and Lady had a blast in the water though. They are 14 years old and they are in great shape, so this was right up their alley. They are amazing to watch and have endless energy!

Jeff and I got in the water and it felt great. The weather has been in the 80's lately and it is so nice, because it's not scorching hot like Atlanta summers normally are. By the time we got home, we gave all three pups a bath. They were worn out and Dixie did not move from her spot the entire night. Thought I would post these pictures of the kids because they are so cute!

Jeff holding Dryfus up. He loves his Daddy! Anytime Jeff leaves Dryfus stands by the kitchen window and cries for Jeff. So sweet..

Dryfus and Lady swimming to Jeff. They kept swimming back and forth to the point that they had to be exhausted.

Dixie kept watching Lady swim and seemed so curious but much too scared to venture in on her own. If she would only swim, it would be such great exercise for her!

Jeff making his way into the water. I got in later, but I wanted to snap some pictures of Jeff and the three amigos swimming in the lake.
