The Girls are Finalists!!!

Well, I have to say that I am SUPER excited for my girls today. They are officially finalists in the Tidy Cats competition. They are in the TOP TEN!! You can vote for the girls by clicking here.

All three of my girls (including Dixie) are the loves of my life and I am so happy that their story brought us to the top ten. It seems like time has flown by since I first moved to Atlanta almost three years ago not knowing a soul after leaving New York. Every pet has a story and I think so often people forget how many homeless animals there are here in the United States, which is the reason I adopted all of my girls. Lily & Daisy were both in such rough shape, especially Lily. Daisy was scared to death and wouldn't let me touch her for a couple weeks, but all of that has changed. They are such busy bodies, talk all the time, dig around in their toy box for new toy mice and follow me around like little "mini me's." My girls bring so much joy to my life & I am so excited for them!! The voting lasts through next week so you can keep voting through October 9th.

In other news, Jeff & I (plus the 3 canines) are heading home to Kentucky (Louisville specifically) tonight for one of my girlfriend's from college, Kristina's wedding. I am so happy for her & we have stayed close since we both left Lexington & waved goodbye to UK after graduation three years ago. We were both journalism majors and Gamma Chi's together during Rush. Gosh how time flies. I can't wait to see her tomorrow night, but I have lots to get done before leaving, including: buying her wedding present & packing. Happy Friday everyone!!

Lily & Daisy Are In the TOP TEN!!

On Friday afternoon I got a call and email from the Tidy Cats Contest telling me that Lily & Daisy are in the TOP TEN!! He also told me that I will receive an affidavit and other liability papers to mail back in to the company, to secure Lily & Daisy's status as top ten. So as soon as I got home Friday afternoon, I went to straight to the mailbox, filled out the forms, and headed to the post office to mail out the documents. Not only are they in the top ten, but we also get 1 year supply of free cat litter from Tidy Cats. I was so excited and happy that my special girls made it into the top ten from hundreds of entries.

The top ten voting begins on Friday, September 25, 2009; so make sure to click on the following link to vote for my girls. The popular vote only counts for 10% of the votes, but I want the girls to get as many votes as they can.
